Managing Partners
Linda Austin
Linda has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, primarily with Verizon
Business / Verizon Wireless / GTE Wireless, in consumer wireless (both postpaid & prepaid),
Enterprise VoIP & legacy wireline voice and IP/MPLS markets. She is highly qualified in strategic
planning and financial analysis; providing evaluations, assessments and recommendations
regarding various business opportunities.
Linda’s experience includes executive-level finance, marketing and operations roles, with
emphasis on strategic planning, product development / life cycle management, customer
segmentation, channel performance, compensation strategy, financial planning and reporting.
Linda has led teams as large as 750 employees, as well as cross-functional teams, to execute
numerous strategic initiatives, including: CDMA network deployments both domestically and
internationally, brand name change and brand positioning (Celulares Telefonica to Verizon
Wireless in Puerto Rico), IP/MPLS roll-out as part of the Enterprise Advance project within
Verizon Business, and led one of the integration teams tasked with the Verizon/MCI merger.
Most recently, Linda served as senior vice president - strategy & product management for
Masergy Communications, where she led a company-wide effort to identify and pursue key
strategic opportunities, leading to four new product launches and increased efficiency in other
functional areas.
Jon Austin
Jon has more than 25 years' experience in the telecommunications and information
technologies industries, primarily with Verizon / GTE, having held management positions both
domestically and internationally, and in every business unit within the corporation (wireline,
wireless, information services and international). The majority of Jon's work has been in
technical sales, marketing and operations, including product development / marketing /
management, marketing information systems, market / competitive analysis, business planning
& strategy, operations management and sales engineering.
Jon’s corporate experience includes executive-level positions in marketing, information
technology and operations, with emphasis on strategic planning, data product development and
systems: billing, customer relationship management (CRM) and decision support. His
accomplishments include implementing a multi-million dollar CRM system, managing several
billing system conversions, establishing automated roamer validation services between Puerto
Rico and mainland US, launching numerous wireless data product and service offerings, and
serving as lead author of the business case for the Verizon Wireless Puerto Rico brand name
change and network conversion. Jon has also worked on wireless telecommunications projects
in Europe with BMW and Harris Corporation, and holds a patent for cellular technology that was
developed and marketed by GTE Mobilnet.
In addition to their corporate experience, Jon & Linda owned and operated a quick print and copy
business (graphic design, offset color process printing, digital imaging and copying) for more
than 8 years. Jon also works as a professional photographer, engaged primarily in commercial,
product, event and portrait photography.
